Volunteers
DO NOT
necessarily have
the time.
They have the heart.

Who Are We: For just a few hours a couple of times per month, you can help a child succeed. Big Brothers Big Sisters is different from other mentoring organizations in that we seek volunteers who are committed and consistent, willing to serve at least a year, but we hope until a chid graduates high school. Studies show that by doing so, our mentoring services help kids stay in school, avoid risky behaviour, and experience first-hand the importance of helping others in their community.
Professional staff are there to work with you, the child, and the family throughout the relationship to provide necessary training and support.
Seeking Volunteers / Participants: Because every Kid is ONE Caring Adult Away From Being a Success Story.

More people in Mission volunteer through sporting clubs than any other type of organization. Volunteers do everything from coaching and umpiring to running the BBQ, getting teams to matches and games, ordering uniforms and bookkeeping.
Who We Are: Our shows are well attended by local riders as well as by riders from throughout the lower mainland. The shows also provide a fun family oriented atmosphere with whole families being involved in the days events. These shows offer a safe and friendly environment for riders of all levels of experience to learn and exchange ideas with each other, and grow and develop their skills in their chosen discipline(s).
Seeking Volunteers / Participants: The shows are run by a small group of volunteers and we always welcome more helping hands so if we sound like a club you are interested in getting involved in please do not hesitate to contact us. Our show season usually starts around March or April, and runs until the months of September or October. Here is a list of areas that we need volunteers to help out: Fundraising Events, Community Days, Banquets and Show Crew.
