Who We Are: Fraser Health is responsible for providing quality health care services to the people of Mission. This includes residential care and assisted living, public health, home health, pallliative care, mental health and substance use support, along with specialized programs for children, women and Aboriginal people. We provide care in 339 beds across Mission in our hospital, residential care and mental health and substance use programs. Staying informed about your illness or condition and knowing what healthy lifestyle choices you can make is an important way to take charge of your health. Fraser Health encourages residents of the communities we serve to take an active role in their own health and well-being.

Mission Association for Community Living - MACL

Who We Are:  For the past 58 years, Mission Association for Community Living (MACL) has provided services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. MACL maintains an on-going commitment to respond to the needs of individuals and families. The organization offers a wide variety of training, residential, respite, social development, social/recreational and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities.  MACL is a place where children and adults of all abilities are supported along their journeys. Our work is guided by our values, experience and history and draws from strong roots in the community. MACL recognizes the rights of everyone to have a full range of life choices, including access to education, affordable and appropriate housing, leisure options, gainful employment and participation in the community. We believe that a healthy community encourages the involvement of everyone!

Seeking Volunteers / Participants: Mission Association for Community Living (MACL) has a need for volunteers who are willing to help in the following areas:

  • Fundraising promotion
  • Event set-up and take down
  • Event photography
  • Occasional landscaping and pruning
  • Occasional moving and dump removal
  • WordPress expertise (help in the times when we are stumped by our website!)
