Who We Are: The purpose of the Network is to bring together women of all walks of life for personal and professional growth, to initiate contact between women, to provide a comfortable environment for sharing common career and social concerns, and to offer self-development opportunities. Women have come to our Network to meet other women, to make business contacts and to make friends. The Valley Women’s Network is a non-partisan, non-religious, non-affiliated group and does not have any particular single focus interest. It does not lobby for any cause or idea.

Who We Are: In 1996, as part of the International Women's Day celebrations in the community, we inaugurated a program: Paths and Pathfinders: Women of Mission to collect, preserve, and provide access to materials which document the lives and contributions of women, past and present, in the District of Mission, Hatzic Prairie, Hatzic Island, Dewdney, Deroche, Nicomen Island, Lake Errock and McConnell Creek.

Who We Are: Soroptimist is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Who We Are: Provides job search services for eligible individuals who are seeking employment. Helps clients develop an employment plan. Assists with career options exploration, job search strategies, planning for education and training, accessing training funds, learning about starting a business, and resume writing. Offers a self-serve resource centre with phone, fax, internet, and printers. Supplemental services for multi-barriered clients or people with complex needs may be available, or delivered through other qualified service providers at separate locations or training institutes.

Who We Are: The Mission RCMP Detachment serves a rapidly growing and diverse community with a population of approximately 40,000 District residents. Headed by Inspector Ted De Jager, Mission Detachment is a 48 municipal and 6 provincial officer detachment providing key services and programs in general duty policing, community response, street crime policing, forensic identification, general investigations, police dog service, traffic and administrative support.

Who We Are: The Mission Fire/Rescue Service has a strong commitment to fire safety.  The Department offers public education programs, varying from lectures on fire safety to extinguisher training for industry.  In addition, regular fire safety inspections are done by the Department to ensure compliance with the Fire Services Act and the BC Fire Code.
